Dinamo Zagreb’s legendary Maksimir Stadium is set to be demolished and replaced with a modern structure, but construction has yet to begin. The reason? Careful planning and temporary infrastructure.
🏗️ What’s happening right now?
✅ Initially, the Kranjčevićeva Stadium will be renovated (€44 million) to serve as Dinamo’s temporary home.
✅ Construction of this stadium will begin in early 2025 and will be completed in 2026.
✅ Only after this will the demolition and reconstruction of Maksimir begin, with the completion of the new stadium planned for 2028.
🏟️ Maksimir, built in 1912, suffered damage from the 2020 earthquake, making a new and modern stadium necessary for Dinamo and its fans.
