🚨BREAKING NEWS: Why did coach Augustine Eguavoen gave Captain Ahmed Musa’s number 7 Jersey to Lookman?
Lookman is a humble player and he is fine with his normal jersey.
You didn’t invite him and his jersey given to another player.
It’s time for some of our home based coaches to know the difference between senior player | Junior player
It was an error, no foreign coach will disrespect a senior player like that, a captain of the team for many years who hasn’t retired yet, even he was not part of your squad.
Everyone knows Lookman is a fantastic player of all standard and he is on top of his game with magnificent performances in his team and the national team, no doubt.
My point is, coach Augustine Eguavoen should’ve allowed Lookman used his normal jersey till Ahmed Musa retire as the captain. It’s so confusing to bring up such idea among players, Super Eagles guy’s are well united as a playing body and there is always peace with respect.
Such things can bring confusion among senior players and junior players.
It’s my opinion as a female footballer myself based in Europe, players like Ahmed Musa should always be appreciated with respect.
It’s unfortunate NFF did not retain coach Augustine Eguavoen, upon all the efforts he put up to qualify Super Eagles to the AFCON, another coach is coming to enjoy his position and will be paid better than him.
It’s time for home based coaches to learn how to win the heart of players, because they are the same players who will speak on their behalf behind their back, if there are appreciated with love and respect as foreign coaches do to get result.
Coach Augustine Eguavoen is good enough to do the job, but many errors and NFF do not only consider performances of coaches, the playing body ( players) matters if they are manager well by a coach.
