SHILOH 2024 Day 2 Morning / Hour of Visitation Word 3
Message Title: Divine Wisdom Makes the Reedemed More than a Conqueror
Ministering: Pastor Mrs Faith Abiola Oyedepo
If you must continue to win, you must continue with the application of God’s wisdom.
The Word âwisdomâ appeared 234 times in the King James version of the Bible and that shows that wisdom is principal.
Wisdom is in degrees and the school of wisdom is a school of lifelong learning where no one graduates from.
Wisdom is a major spiritual weapon. – Ecl.9:18.
Wisdom is for your profiting. – Prov. 9:12
No matter the weapon you carry, if you don’t apply wisdom, you become a prey to the devil.
If you come to church and your closest friends are still sinners, it means you have acquired the truth but not applied it.
You need to stop some association if you must get to your destination because wisdom is the skillful application of the truth.
What is Wisdom?
1. Wisdom is the skillful application of the truth. – Matt. 7:24
– Wisdom is not acquisition of the truth, that is knowledge and knowledge without application is a waste.
2. Wisdom is a major weapon in solving several issues as seen in the scriptures.
Examples:
– Joseph conquered Egypt without a single weapon in his hand. – Gen. 41:41
– Even in economic hardship, divine wisdom promoted Joseph.
– Daniel conquered Babylon without shooting an arrow. – Dan. 5:11, 29
– Solomon conquered by the wisdom from above. – 1 Kgs. 3
– Paul, the Apostle, wrote over half of the New Testament by the wisdom of God.
3. Wisdom promotes Godâs people to prominence. – Gen. 41:41-43, Dan. 5:11
Our real battles are spiritual and it demands that we engage spiritual weapons.
One major weapon required to fight and overcome these battles are the weapon of wisdom.
Who are your friends?
Consider the five closest people to you; your life will be a reflection of the sum total of their lives.
How do you know how wise you are?
1. By the words you speak.
2. By the association you keep.
3. By how close you are to the Word of God.
4. By how regular you are in fellowship.
5. By how much you fear God.
6. By the kinds of decisions you make.
7. By the judgements you make. – 2 Cor 13:5
Even when you are imparted with the Spirit of Wisdom, it is your responsibility to put it to work.
