Ademola Lookman and Tammy Abraham, both of Nigerian origin but born in the UK, received calls from the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) to represent the national team. While one heeded the call, the other chose to represent England.
Their career paths have since diverged. One has achieved international acclaim, winning prestigious awards such as African Footballer of the Year and ranking 14th in the Ballon d’Or. In contrast, the other is facing challenges in the Italian league.
