Day 4 Morning/ Hour of Visitation

Word 3

Message Title: Wisdom is a Personal Asset (Prov. 9:12)

Ministering: Pastor (Mrs) Faith Abiola Oyedepo

What is an Asset?

An asset is a useful, valuable, quality skill or person. An asset can be tangible, intangible, human, or intellectual.

The real assets of life go beyond things that are tangible.

Wisdom is an asset; an asset of inestimable value.

Divine wisdom is priceless and cannot be purchased with gold or silver.

No matter what you have in life in terms of assets, if you lack divine wisdom, you are still poor.

Many people are grounded in life, not because of the wickedness of people, but the lack of divine wisdom.

Separations in homes are on the rise because of a lack of wisdom.

Divine wisdom delivers not by wishing, not by waiting, not by watching but mainly on demand.

What you do with the deposit of wisdom in you will determine how sweet and valuable your life will be.

The Spirit of wisdom is the higher dimension of wisdom. It is your heritage to have the Spirit of wisdom. – Deut. 34:9

Wisdom is a divine treasure, and it demands to be stirred up to deliver. Responsibility is the price for greatness. – 2 Tim 1:6

The Spirit of wisdom in the Scriptures can be likened to oil in a lamp. – Matt. 25:7-8

The oil of wisdom is available; buy it with your hunger, and thirst on the altar of prayer.

Solomon was wonderfully endowed by God with wisdom but because he refused to take responsibility, the treasure of wisdom was turned to trash.

What made Solomon’s wisdom turn to trash?

1. He was only feasting instead of accepting responsibility. – 1 Kgs. 4:22

2. He was busy acquiring more wives, gathering strange women and lusting after them. – 1 Kgs. 11:1

3. It was never stated that he prayed after he became wealthy. – Luke 18:1

4. He had no counsellor.

Lesson to be learned from the life of Solomon:

1. Be disciplined and learn to control your appetite.

2. Watch and pray so you don’t fall into temptation.

3. Beware of acquiring anything that seeks your worship.
